Sheik Mirza: "According to my colleagues in Iraq - I speak to them on weekends Saturday and Sundays and sometimes - because of the 8 hour time difference for about 10 minutes during the week:
The situation is getting worse and worse because of the PKK which is in Mt. Shingal by force. They have weapons and international support and the Yezidi cannot kick them out (of what is our 6 thousand year old indigenous Yezidi land). They have food and all the supplies they need. Where do the PKK get it from. The Yezidi have nothing and no support.
These militia have hundreds of tunnels and caves in the mountain and the Yezidi are very scared because if there is conflict with Turkey, Turkey will bomb Mt. Sinjar to find the PKK. The PKK are doing their terrorism in Turkey and then they return to Mt. Shingal. They train in Mt. Shingal. The leaders have been trained somewhere else. They then provide training to others on Mt. Shingal. The PKK were in Syria and Iran. The leadership may be getting their training in Iran. But no one is stopping them. Not the UN, Iraqi government, the US, NATO etc.
There is border between Iran and Turkey.
Syria was colonized by Turkey for long time. .
The PKK are in the Kurdish area of Iraq. There are thousands of them in northern Iraq. But Turkey does not go after them there but instead they target them in Mt. Sinjar. They (Turkey) have come to fight the PKK two times in 2017.
Why does Turkey come only to the indigenous Yezidi land of Mt. Sinjar to fight the PKK when the PKK are elsewhere? We believe there is a plan to destroy the Yezidi and take our land.
History: In the South-east area of Turkey the majority of people were Yezidi (!!!!).
Today this is the Kurdish area of Turkey. (How did this change happen?)
The Ottoman Turks told the Kurds and promised them: If you destroy the Yezidi, the Armenians, and the Chado -Assyrian Christians who live in this area, then we will give you their land.
This area now is called Ottoman Kurdistan. Prior to WW1 it was called a different name.
The Kurds had massacred the 3 groups - two and a half million people!
After WW1 Turkey said no to the Kurds i.e. no to getting their own land. The Turks said "- we are Muslim so you can be with us and don't need your own country." But the Kurds opposed this and continued for e.g. to wear their hats which were different from the Turks. The Ottomans' took the leader of the Kurds and put nails in a Turkish hat and nailed it to his head and hung him upside down - saying "Now you see you must wear our hat because it does not come off even when he hangs!"
The Kurds are the most radical against the Yezidi because as long as Yezidi survive, it is reminds the Kurds of their failure - they could not wipe them out. Also they wish to hide what they did.
My grandfather and two cousins were the ONLY survivors of their town, after the Kurdish massacre!
Now to the present - How does this history relate to the current situation?
One point is that Isis has NOT been destroyed. For e.g. a few days ago the Iraqi security forces rescued a 19 year old Yezidi girl who had been enslaved in Iraq in the very town of Inbar! There are according to our information more than 3000 Yezidi slaves in Iraq and Syria. There is much more proof of ISIS continuing and of their connection to other groups of Sunnis and other governments.
